Hello from 4 D Acres Everything Emu
Last month was a whirl wind for Mike; first he was in Washington D.C. with other county presidents from Kansas Farm Bureau to lobby both the Senate and House of Representatives. When he returned from that trip he literally stepped out of one vehicle to get into another. He was off and running to Lincoln, Nebraska to set up for the Husker Lawn and Leisure show. Home for a few days then back out the door heading for Wichita, Kansas this time for a seminar. Salina, Kansas had the Mid-America Farm Show at the end of the month and guess who was there selling emu oil? Yup, Mike and to finally end the month he was selling emu oil products along with the meat and chickens in Shawnee, Kansas at the Kansas City Food Circle Farmers' Exhibition.
It's finally here! The first Saturday of the month to come out to 4 D Acres farm to get your emu oil products along with emu meat and don't forget those delicious farm raised whole chickens. Hours we will be open are from 9:00AM to 2:00PM so grab that cooler and make your way to the country. The farm will be open the first Saturday of each month from April through November.
Can't make it the first Saturday to come out to the farm to get your goodies, we are also going to be open during the Miami County Farm Tour, May 12th from 9am to 4pm and on May 13(Mother's Day) from 10am to 4pm. If you would like a brochure listing all 14 farms that will be open for tours this year you can download one by going to www.VisitMiami CountyKS.com or call 1-877-837-4119 and one will be put in the mail to you. This is a wonderful thing the county does; it showcases what can be raised on small farms here in Kansas. We would like for you to stop by and see Barney, our pet emu (bring your camera; Barney loves to have his picture taken). We are here to answer your questions. And we will have emu oil products along with frozen emu meat and those tasty whole chickens (they are frozen), so bring your cooler!
