Hello from 4 D Acres Everything Emu

 

We have been having a very mild winter here in Eastern Kansas. Half an inch of snow is all we have seen here on our farm, making for pleasant trips out to the emu pens to do chores and collect eggs.

Speaking of eggs, the incubator is doing its job in keeping the temperature and humidity at the correct settings for the eggs to develop. Will keep you posted on the progress of the eggs.

One day the temperature was around forty degrees outside; I dumped out the water in the water tank to put in fresh water for a pair of emus when they came over to me. What they were waiting for was to be hosed down with water. You would think they would not like to get wet in the cold, but they love it. The problem is I am the one that doesn't like to get wet at that temperature.
