Hello from 4 D Acres Everything Emu
Like us on Facebook

Welcome to 2012 - we hope you will have a healthy and prosperous New Year.  New ideas are coming from 4 D Acres as we have chosen a different path for the business.  Some of the changes are; we will not be at the Overland Park or Merriam Farmers' Markets this summer, the good news is we will open the farm to the public on the first Saturday each month, April thru November.  We welcome you to shop at the farm.

The Miami County Spring Farm Tour will once again be on the second weekend of May (Mother's Day weekend).  Mark your calendar now for that weekend.  Plan on coming to our place to see the baby chicks, they would love to see you.

 Emu Brooder House

Our brooder barn is now complete, all we have to do is put the finishing touches to it, work on the the inside and do some fence work.

The holiday season this year was wonderful, with weather up in the 40's and 50's for the last two weeks of December - extremely nice for this time of the year.

We are now taking care of two more breeder pairs that joined us on the 18 of December -  read about the emu roundup and adventure on our blog for a more detailed story about a day of an emu farmer.

With the holiday break some additional chores were done.  There was firewood to be cut, split and stacked as the office is heated entirely by a wood stove.  There isn't anything like the kind of heat that radiates from a wood burning stove. Mike loves that kind of heat.  The tractor needed some work so one of our sons has been busy with that.  Sure is nice to have children that don't mind helping out here at the farm.

A new grandson joined the family in November.  Colton Michael was born to Mike's youngest daughter.  Dee just had to take a week off in early December to fly out to central California to spend some time with the new grandson.  Yes, we are proud grandparents.

January Special - 1.75 oz Muscle Joint Plus

4 D ACRES Muscle-Joint Plus is a special formulation of Ultra (tm) Emu oil (20%), glucosamine sulfate, pregnenolone and MSM.

Ultra Emu Oil (tm) has shown to reduce swelling more 45% effectively than unprocessed emu oil.

Pregnenolone is the mother hormone produced by the body. When cholesterol is broken down in the mitochondria of the cell, pregnenolone is produced. This process occurs in the brain, liver, skin, testicles and ovaries. Benefits of this h ormone include improved memory, increased energy levels and a general sense of well being. Studies show that as your body gets older, it produces less pregnenolone. While pregnenolone is not found naturally in plants, it can be manufactured from plants, most commonly made from the wild yam found in Mexico and China.

Glucosamine Sulfate is a substance found naturally in the
body from the combination of sugar and amine. Medical studies have shown that glucosamine sulfate helps to rebuild the joints in your body. It also has been clinically proven to help the body repair damaged cartilage.

MSM is an organic sulfur compound belonging to a class of chemicals known as sulfones. It occurs naturally in some primitive plants and is present in small amounts in many foods and beverages.

4 D Acres Muscle-Joint Plus is an odorless, highly concentrated product in a fast penetrating, rich cream base.

Just place a small amount on your fingertips and rub gently into the needed area. The cream should penetrate your skin in less than 10 seconds. If it has not, then you have probably used too much. For large areas, apply the cream over the entire surface and massage gently until the cream has penetrated. You should begin to feel the effects of the cream within 15 minutes. We recommend using twice a day for several days for full effect.

Testimonial:

My son is 13 and was diagnosed with bone cancer in 2006 in femur of right leg. He went thru chemo and a limbsparing operations. He loves the emu muscle cream on his toes. He has foot drop and neuropathy in his right toes. I put this cream on his toes every night so he can sleep painfree. He freely asks for emu oil each and every night.
