Hello from all at 4 D Acres
This picture of us was taken last June on our 24th wedding aniversary. We had just finished dinner with our two sons and Dee's mother at a resturant on the Kansas City Plaza.
Something different for you this month. Back in 2005, 4 D Acres was featured on America's Heartland, a TV show produced by KVIE Public Television Station of Sacramento CA. We were shown on PBS and RFD stations around the country. You can still watch it on your computer. Check out the link - we are episode #113.
Spring is just around the corner. Normally in March we do not have the sustained cold and snow. As this goes out to you the incubators are being turned on, the eggs will be loaded soon after. The baby emu chicks will be due to hatch the end of April to the beginning of May.
We have some visitors. A friend of ours has brought over a female emu, which we are going to try to mate with Barney (our pet) and 3 female Llamas to keep Sambo, our guard llama, company on pasture.

 Derma 50
Derma 50 is a product that we used on Dee's grandmother to treat bedsores when she was in a nursing home. We also sucessfully treated an open sore on the heel of Mike's aunt.
Several people have used Derma 50 to treat poison ivy. Be sure you completely wash the affected area before applying. More on Derma 50
