Greetings!
It was nice of LinkedIn to time their $9 Billion IPO for the week of my first public LinkedIn workshop last month. LinkedIn was just as popular with area business people, too. The workshop was sold out. If you missed it and want to know more about LinkedIn, see below for info on Advanced LinkedIn Webinars. From a larger perspective, people are hopefully that the largest IPO in years signals the beginning of the rise out of the recession. If you have not started preparations to increase sales during the upswing, contact us for some ideas. Kurt Shaver

New School - Old School:

Some people wonder how Social Media can enhance real relationships. PushBirthdays is an iPhone app that uses Social Media to support a classic relationship building technique.
Wishing someone a "Happy Birthday" is a friendly way to let a person know that you're thinking about them. The challenge has been how to learn the birthdays of hundreds of business and personal contacts? Luckily, the sharing aspect of Social Media results in people listing their birthdays on their LinkedIn and Facebook profiles. PushBirthdays pulls that information and displays it for easy response. Note: You'll score more points delivering the message in person or via phone versus using email.
