Dr. Embra Jackson will be appointed Superintendent of the Starkville District, effective January 1, 2011.  Dr. Jackson has served as Assistant to the Bishop for Wellness and Congregational Development since 2005.  

Rev. Timothy Thompson will be appointed Assistant to the Bishop, effective late June, 2011.  Rev. Thompson's work will be focused in congregational vitality and mission development.

The work of the office of Assistant to the Bishop will be cared for by conference staff and cabinet during the six month interval between January and June, 2011.

Rev. Giles Lindley has served in the past year as Superintendent of the Starkville District while sharing leadership of the East Jackson District with Rev. Henderson Rasberry.  Rev. Lindley and Rev. Rasberry will return to leadership of the East Jackson and West Jackson Districts, respectively, in January, 2011.
