 Dear JABBERS:
Happy New Year! I love New Year's Day, mostly because I spent my life in Bowl towns. I grew up in Tempe, AZ (Fiesta Bowl), where I welcomed the New Year this year, and Pasadena, CA (Rose Bowl), which is absolutely the best place to be on New Year's. The Rose Parade is a wonderful treat, if your travels or your favorite football team finds you in Southern California. The floats are really made of flowers and as magnificent as they look on television. I was there last week, but missed the float prep. Now I find myself in Orange Bowl country. Football is fun, but mostly I like sunshine!
