Dear JABBERS:

Fall is my favorite time of year, which is hard when thoughts turn to russet colored leaves, and the palm trees speak of endless summer.  This last week finally felt like a change was in the air.  Although it hardly marks sweater weather, I hope you embrace the new season.

Fall also marks the time of year when the holiday to-do list comes out.  If, like me, you have a million things to get done, let us help.  I am starting with my rug, as you will see in the post below.  And, let me introduce you to the culprit, Pearl, who has herself used JAB.  I can't think of a better way to find a great dog walker, groomer
, or place to board.  Or, if you were to ask Pearl, the best dog treats in town!

Happy JABBING!

Teach Your Kids About the Cost of Freedom With Red, White & Blue!

From Team JAB

As we all know, freedom is not free. Veterans Day is an opportune time to teach our kids what it takes to maintain the freedom we enjoy as Americans. For Veterans Day this November, www.iPadsForSoldiers.org is asking school children everywhere to "Dress Down" in red, white and blue to raise funds for wounded veterans.  For some, there  is no school on Veterans Day (Friday, 11/11/11), and students are being asked to Dress Down the day before or after the school holiday. As you might know, iPads are the one material thing troops and veterans want and need most, since they are lightweight and easy to transport, and replace computers, video games, cameras, notepads, pens, calculators, etc. However, iPads are expensive. So, www.iPadsForSoldiers.org issues iPads to soldiers and vets. Dress Down Day is VERY simple. Just ask your school principal to have the kids at your school wear red/white/blue and bring $1 (or whatever amount you deem appropriate). Assign one person to collect the money, and coordinate collection with Winnie Pritchett, the organization's Founder, at winnie.pritchett@gmail.com. Thanks, JABBERS!

Ops, She Did It Again!

From Courtney Stanford: REPLY
My darling dog thinks my very expensive designer rug is a giant pee pee pad. Does anyone know of a good quality carpet cleaning company that will clean a sea grass area rug, but not run up the national debt? Thank you!

Full-Time Nanny Available

From Desiree Aoki: REPLY
I would like to recommend our full-time/live out Nanny for immediate availability. She has been with us for about a year now taking care of our 2 year old son. We unfortunately will be losing her as our son will be starting Pre-School full time. She has been very loving and kind to Benjamin and I'd highly recommend her to become a part of your family. She has also taken extra care to teach him new things about life each and every day. She will also help with light housekeeping (laundry, bed making, etc.) and is very reliable. She has her own car and is legal to work. She speaks fluent English and Spanish, whichever you prefer her to use she will. If you are intersted, please contact her directly at 954-668-4708. Her name is Valentina Ortiz (Tina). Thank you.

Looking For a Home In West Pembroke Pines

From Lisa Collazo: REPLY

My family and I live in West Broward. We would like to rent or lease a home, with an option to buy. The communities we are interested in are:  Pembroke Isles, Spring Valley, Silver Lakes  and Chapel Trail. We prefer something with a garage, and are looking below $1500.00. We are a very responsible family and will take care of a property as if it were ours. Thank you.
