The calendar says July, the temperature is frightful, and don't tell me you are not having a bad hair day with the humidity. As hard as it is to believe, school is right around the corner. We live in East Fort Lauderdale. Our son has a wonderful nanny who we simply adore. Our son starts school on August 15 and will be attending class from 9-1, Monday through Friday. We are looking for a family for our nanny to work for in the mornings up until 12:30 PM. Alternatively, we need part time assistance from someone that can drive to pick our son up from school and babysit from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM daily. The Broward County Public Library is encouraging everyone to read this summer. What better time to pick up a book than a hot day! For children, the program is called "One World, Many Stories." The program encourages adults to join their children with a companion program called "Novel Destinations." Stop by your local library to learn more.
Wondering what to do with the little ones this week? The Downtown Library is showing the movie "How to Train Your Dragon" on Wednesday, July 27 from 2-4 in the Main Library Auditorium.
