Academic Tune Up!

From Nancy Cooke Reply

Don't let your child's mind turn to mush over the summer.  Invest in your child's education.  An experienced certified Florida teacher will tutor your child any subject and any level, starting at $20/hr at your home, office or the local library.  Summer is the best time to catch up on last year or get a headstart on next year.  Don't wait.  The summer will fly by before you know it.*

Make Dad's Day Special

From Team JAB

Here are a few ideas to make this Father's Day fun, as well as special.  We hope you all have a wonderful and memorable day!

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

The Florida Marlins are playing The New York Yankees, which is sure to be a treat! For ticket information and times, click here.

Give Everyone A Day Off From The Kitchen

Take Dad out for breakfast or brunch.  One fun spot in the Jet Runway Cafe at the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.  The whole family can enjoy breakfast and watch the planes.

Pack a Picnic and Go to the Beach

Give your dad the afternoon off with a relaxing day at the beach.  He would probably love a chance to spend some time napping or just playing with the kids.

Take Advantage of the Off Season

The tourists are gone, but the tourists businesses are not.  From charter fishing to paddle boarding, to jet skiing, there are lots of activities available along the beaches from Hollywood to Boca.  Pretend you are on vacation, and give the whole family the day off!

Nanny Available

From Jillian Marcus: Reply

I am looking for a job for our nanny, who has worked for our family for five years. She has done everything.  In addition to child care, she has picked up our children from preschool, cooked, helped with housekeeping and laundry,  helped out with errands and driven the children to appointments.  She  prefers full time work in Broward County, but will consider a part time position.  Her primary language is Spanish and she is a US citizen.  For more information, please contact me at the reply above.

Summer Camps For Teens

From Stacy Kalafer: Reply

A 14 year old girl is coming from a small town in Texas to Broward County and will be staying here for a month.  Do you have any suggestions for activities or economical camps for a teenager?  The girl enjoys dancing, and is a member of her school's dance team; however, she is interested in dance camp, or any other activity that will allow her to meet other people her age.
