Professor Staples to head Virginia Association of School Superintendents
W&M School of Education executive professor Steven Staples has been appointed as the new executive director of the Virginia Association of School Superintendents where he will work with educational leaders and policymakers to improve education for Virginia's students.

Shannon Chance Ph.D. '10 awarded Fulbright Scholarship
Dr. Shannon Chance has been awarded a 2012-13 Fulbright Scholarship to do research at the Dublin Institute of Technology in Ireland. Dr. Chance will research innovative ways to teach engineering and architecture.

Professor Bracken honored with Lifetime Achievement Award
Bruce A. Bracken, Ph.D. has been selected by the University of Georgia College of Education Alumni Awards Selection Committee to receive the 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award. Professor Bracken's research focuses on age-span psychological and educational assessment.
