2012-01-15 Korea visit Center for Gifted Education hosts Korean Nobel Project for future global leaders   

Thirty-four members of the Korean Nobel Project were recently hosted by the Center for Gifted Education. Educators and students from Korea came to exchange ideas about teaching and learning through a variety of scientific and mathematical curricular concepts.   

Stoddard book Practical strategies for teaching History and Social Studies using museums  

Professor Jeremy Stoddard is a co-author of a book released in December, Teaching History with Museums,  featuring ways in which the richness of museums, memorials, monuments and other historical sites can be incorporated in history and social studies classrooms.

Kyung Hee Kim NAGC Awards for Excellence go to two W&M Faculty
The National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) presented its annual awards during the 58th Annual NAGC Convention & Exhibition. Two W&M leaders in the gifted and talented education field were recognized. Kyung Hee Kim, Early Scholar Award and Tracy Cross, Distinguished Scholar Award.
Dr. Patsy Joyner Patsy Rainey Joyner C.A.S.E. '83, Ed.D. '89 lauded as a true role model     
Patsy Rainey Joyner has retired as vice president for Institutional Advancement at Paul D. Camp Community College after 31 years with the college. Dr. Joyner was a charter member of the School of Education Development Board in 1993, served as its first Chair, and has continued to maintain her involvement.
