Sue Hanna Gerdelman '76 honored at Charter Day

Her life brought her to many areas of the world and wherever she went Sue Hanna Gerdelman '76 lived the motto "community service is something everybody should want to do".  On February 5, she will be awarded the highest alumni honor at William and Mary - the Alumni Medallion.

With interests in leadership and curriculum development, Jill Sivertsen Hunter '71 leads the SOE Development Board as it pursues its strategic plan for fund-raising to assist SOE students.  Hunter has been the Head of the Lower School at Collegiate School in Richmond since 1988.

Recently STEM worked with 300 students in King George County through the Virginia Demonstration Project to engage them with advanced technology and use science and math skills to find solutions to an oil spill scenario. See STEM's new website

Valija C. RoseValija C. Rose, Ph.D. '09

Professor Valija Rose was recently interviewed in a radio conversation by the National Association for Gifted Children. She responded to some provocative questions and shared her own views about influential leaders, theories and challenges, past, present and future. Valija is the 2008 recipient of the Armand J. and Mary Faust Galfo Education Research Fellowship Award.
