GVSU Nursing Students Learn-n-Serve
For nearly 7 years "The Other Way" has partnered with the GVSU Kirchoff School of Nursing as a site for their 7 week Community Health rotation. With school back in session, nine nursing students and their professor are back at "The Other Way", kicking off their rotation with a pancake breakfast for neighbors this morning. Over the next month and a half, the students will work with the local Head Start program to educate children about healthy living. They will also work in our Food Pantry, provide resource networking for our neighbors, and provide free blood pressure screenings at "The Other Way", Duthlers, the Westside Complex, Fulton Pharmacy and other local agencies. This partnership along with the service and learning provided by the GVSU nurses allows us to provide these valuable health resources to our neighbors!

Meet The Staff: Paul Maciejewski
Paul "Ski" Maciejewski (say: Ma-Chi-Es-Key) came to "The Other Way" on a mission - the lawn needed to be mowed and he could do it! Eleven years later, Paul is still on a mission, but it's changed over time. Paul's mission these days is to follow God's call to serve his neighbor. He does this daily by opening the office and greeting neighbors with a smile on his face and a pot of coffee to share (if you're lucky, he might have some doughnuts too!). "Ski" Fun Facts: - Paul, who attends Servants Community Church, loves any opportunity he gets to pray for his friends, neighbors and "The Other Way" and gladly gives all the credit to God.
- Paul is an AVID fan of the Tigers, Lions, Spartans and West Catholic Falcons!
We thank God for Paul and his heart for this organization and community!
