On May 17th, 90 neighborhood leaders and city staff members gathered together to share a community potluck dinner and to preview the Draft Strong Neighborhoods Business Plan Update.

In addition, Neighborhood Leaders from Strong Neighborhoods have called for the creation of a Coalition of NACs, known as CNAC. This Coalition will work in partnership with Strong Neighborhoods staff on each of the four goals in the Strong Neighborhoods Business Plan Update.

In this newsletter you'll find more information about CNAC's first meeting and how you can get involved. You can also get updated on the city process the Strong Neighborhoods Business Plan Update will go through to get adopted by City Council in June.
We look forward to continuing to build strong neighborhoods with each of you and are excited about the structure CNAC will provide to continue our productive partnership with neighborhoods. I encourage you to get involved!

CNAC: Coalition of Neighborhood Action Coalitions
CNAC is an organized network of Neighborhood Leaders with the purpose and objective of achieving and maintaining the health and well being of our neighborhoods. CNAC's mission is to provide neighborhood insights, knowledge and resources to support the advancement of Strong Neighborhoods' four core goals.

Each NAC has been asked to identify one representative to sit on the CNAC. All neighborhood leaders are encouraged to participate in one of four CNAC committees that will work to advance the four goals of the Strong Neighborhoods Business Plan Update in partnership with Strong Neighborhoods staff.
