Greetings!

Happy New Year from the Lambeth Endowed Charities. 2010 promises to be another exciting year for our Foundation.

After 31 March we change our 'working title' from Lambeth Endowed Charities to the Walcot Foundation.  We believe this will go a long way towards eliminating 'brand confusion' because we are now known by (too many) different names.  Our charitable aims remain the same and we shall continue to operate only in Lambeth.

Despite the economic downturn, we hope to be able to maintain our grant-making at £2M for the next financial year.  We exist to address poverty in Lambeth and know that our services are needed as much as ever.

Our latest grant announcements are available on our website - please follow the links below.  We look forward to receiving your applications (students) and enquiries/initial proposals (organisations and schools).

We work hard to maximise the impact of our grant-making.  One example is access to a new service which will provide capacity building advice and support to organisations working with the individuals we exist to help.  Find out more here, or follow the link below.   Another example is our scheme run with the Guild of Psychotherapists to provide access to psychotherapy where it is likely to help a young person succeed in further or higher education and access and sustain employment.   The link below will tell you more.

Introducing free, professional capacity-building assistance available to organisations & schools working with financially disadvantaged Lambeth residents
We have awarded ADP Consultancy a grant to assist organisations that are either funded by our Foundation or intending to apply for funding to become stronger, more sustainable and more effective.  ADP Consultancy is a well-established consultancy organisation with a strong track record in enabling organisations to achieve and demonstrate organisational capacity, standards and sustainability.
Organisations that are assisted under this scheme must be able to demonstrate that they are working with - or have the potential to work with - low income Lambeth residents and that they are committed to making a long term, sustainable difference in the lives of Lambeth residents facing financial poverty.  More information is available here

Low cost psychotherapy for Lambeth young people aged 18-30 living on low incomes available
Information about our grant to the Guild of Psychotherapists is available here. This service is for individuals who have received grants from the Lambeth Endowed Charities or are clients of organisations that have received grants from the Lambeth Endowed Charities.  All beneficiaries of this grant must be Lambeth residents between the ages of 18 and 30 living on low incomes.  All information you provide to the Guild of Psychotherapists is completely confidential.

WE ARE independent grant makers with origins dating from 1623. We operate exclusively in Lambeth and our purpose is to assist those affected by financial poverty. Our approach is that of offering 'a hand up', not a 'hand out'.  Annual grants total c£2 million. Find out more through our website.  Please consider forwarding this email to others who may be interested. Thank you.
