Dedicated to the Men and Women of Melrose Returning from War in 2010

On Sunday, September 12th, we invite you to Main Street to the Victorian Fair when Main Street will be transformed into a lively street festival, ready to welcome nearly 10,000 visitors.  Along with the booths highlighting our business and community organizations the Victorian Fair features local entertainment, our traditional "Big Ticket Raffle", and, of course, thrilling rides for all ages.  The Victorian Fair has become an event that no one wants to miss.

Victorian Fair weekend starts with a vintage baseball game on September 11th at 1:00 pm at Morelli Field.   The home-town team the Pondfeilders will take on the Essex Baseball Club.   Come and see how baseball was played in 1860.  Admission is free.

Fair day starts with the traditional 5K road race to benefit EMARC.  The run starts at 10:00 am while the walk begins at 10:05.  Registration can be done either at Marathon Sports from September 9th-11th or online at www.theemarc.org.  Registration the day of the race can be done at the Melrose YMCA.

The Victorian Fair officially opens at 11:30 am.  Mayor Rob Dolan and Chamber Board President Kevin DeVinney will honor the men and women of Melrose who returned home from war in 2010.  This will be a moving tribute to our citizens who served our country.

We thank our generous sponsors for supporting the Fair; Eastern Bank, Action Ambulance, Hallmark Health, Bobby C's; East Boston Savings Bank; Promotional Solutions; Melrose Cooperative Bank; Melrose Free Press; Rotary Club of Melrose; the Melrose Free Press and EMARC.

Please stop by the Chamber booth at the corner of Main and West Foster to purchase your Big Ticket raffle ticket and a 2010 Melrose ornament.  All proceeds benefit the projects and programs of the Melrose Chamber of Commerce.
