A Melrose Chamber of Commerce Member Celebrates 25 Years in Business

JFL Marketing of Melrose, publisher of the Community Connection Yellow Pages, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, marking a quarter-century of service to communities throughout the North Shore and beyond.
JFL Marketing founder Jim Lubinski started the company in 1984, initially focusing on marketing shopping centers and malls throughout Massachusetts. The company expanded its services in 1990 to include health care facilities and practitioners, leading to the publication of HealthWise Magazine, a quarterly full-color magazine for consumers.
Looking to fine-tune its printing and publishing skills while concentrating on local services, JFL Marketing launched its first Community Connections Yellow Pages in 1991 in its hometown of Melrose. Following the success of its premiere edition, the company launched editions in the neighboring communities of Saugus, Stoneham and Wakefield.
During the next two decades, Community Connections Yellow Pages has been successfully introduced in 15 additional communities in Massachusetts, including Reading/North Reading, Wilmington, Burlington, Woburn, Winchester, Lynnfield, Medford, Malden, Revere, Everett, Chelsea, Lexington, Andover/North Andover, Billerica and Tewksbury.
Regional editions have also been introduced in the Mount Washington Valley area of New Hampshire, in 1993, and in the Sebago Lake area of Maine, in 1996, bringing the total number of Community Connection Yellow Pages to 22. The books reach more than 270,000 households and businesses in those communities.
"We're not resting on our laurels," Jim Lubinski said. "This anniversary will mark the start of a new era for Community Connections Yellow Pages and JFL Marketing as we launch an enhanced version of our online editions of each phone directory."
"This is a tremendous opportunity for our advertisers to be seen not only by buyers who look in the directories, but also by those who shop online."
The www.jflyellowpages.com website is more user-friendly, according to Lubinski, with users able to find Yellow Pages advertisers by category, or by name. The site also enables users to access the directories' white pages, user pages, and street directories, along with advertiser coupons and other unique opportunities.
Community Connection Yellow Pages will begin sales solicitations in several communities within the next month. Advertisers in all editions will be featured in the newly enhanced  www.jflyellowpages.com.
"All new 22 Community Connection Yellow Pages directories will be online, complete with advertisers' company profiles, videos, coupons, links to websites and emails, and interactive maps," Melrose sales representative Steve Lubinski added. "This is a unique advantage for our advertisers."
