"The [ISSP workshop] instructors are all accomplished leaders and authors in the field of sustainability and delivered exceptional webinar programs which were supplemented with excellent readings. The perspective and experience shared with us by the instructors was most valuable. It was a good group of courses, covering all the major areas at a high level without a lot of extraneous material or busy work.
"Also, the tools that I have available to me for use on sustainability planning and reporting are very valuable and could not be obtained from other sources without considerable expense. The program is, in my opinion, the best value for obtaining education in the field for working professionals - very reasonable cost and time commitment. I can't say enough about what the program has done for my professional development and me. I am now in a position that I very much enjoy due directly to my participation in the certificate program."

BOOK REVIEWS Switch: How to Change Things When Change is Hard
Heath, Chip and Dan (2010) Switch: How to Change Things When Change Is Hard. New York: Broadway Books.
The Heath brothers (authors of Made to Stick) have done it again. They've written an entertaining book filled with important and practical insights. This book is about how to create shifts in behavior, especially when you or others have resisted them in the past. They use a metaphor for the parts of our brain: the rider and the elephant. When the rider and the elephant are aligned, things go great but what happens when the rider is confused or the elephant is spooked? The book is filled with memorable stories about psychological research that help to make their points and then they provide practical guidance about how to direct the rider or motivate the elephant.
