Recurring ACH!
Increase your bottom line by adding Recurring ACH! Recurring ACH is easy to sell as another form of payment for any merchant you sign for credit card processing that uses an Internet gateway. Adding ACH as another payment method when you sign a merchant for card processing just makes sense. Especially if they are setting up recurring credit card payments. Recurring ACH gives your merchants a cheaper payment alternative and another way to capture that recurring payment if the consumer doesn't have a credit card. Payliance's ACH option can easily be added to a number of industry standard gateways. For a complete list of Payliance certified gateways, click here. TranFusion's unique integration with Midax significantly simplifies and automates electronic check conversion for grocery and other high volume check merchants. Midax is a software provider for the grocery industry and the integration with Payliance allows importing of the check amount from the POS system to eliminate the need to key in the dollar amount of each check after scanning. Industry News: NACHA Launches Deposited Check Truncation (DCT) Pilot |
Well, it looks like banks are giving the ACH system a try for clearing checks vs. the standard paper clearing or even Check21 image exchange. The DCT Pilot allows a bank to truncate low-value consumer checks and collect them as ACH debits. Bridge Community Bank initiated the first transactions under the pilot rules. "Financial institutions have long been interested in implementing more efficient procedures that will streamline the check process, and the DCT Pilot will explore one important alternative," said Janet O. Estep, NACHA president and CEO. "DCT" literally could transform the collection of low-value consumer checks by removing them from the payment cycle at the point of deposit, and the pilot will assess DCT's benefits moving forward." With all the talk the past few years of Check21, it looks like the good ole ACH system wins again as the cheapest method for clearing checks. According to the article, ACH clearing costs are one-half to one-third the cost of clearing paper checks or even image clearing alternatives. So, what does this mean for us that are in the business of selling ACH merchant services? Simply put, it's another confirmation that ACH is alive and well and ACH may very well become the de facto standard for handling the processing of all paper checks. It also shows that consumers will continue to become more and more comfortable with seeing their checks actually clear as an ACH transaction.
