Season's Greetings from the Anoka County Highway Department!
The 2011 construction season was a busy one. This year marked the largest construction and pavement season in Anoka County Highway Department history with $31.47 million in projects being started and/or completed.
In 2011, Construction and Maintenance Crews:
- Reconstructed and paved 21.4 lane miles using 57,524.71 tons of asphalt
- Reconstructed and resurfaced 12.24 lane miles using 19,375 yards of concrete - the equivalent of covering 18 football fields with a six-inch thick layer of concrete
- Replaced one box-culvert style bridge
- Completed 10 projects
Two projects started in 2011 will be carried over and completed in 2012:
- Bunker Lake Boulevard (CSAH 116) from Basalt Street to Germanium Street in Ramsey
- Main Street/125th Avenue (CSAH 14) from east of Crane Street in Coon Rapids to west of Ulysses Street in Blaine
