In April Channel 3 personality Tara Hitchcock sent her dog to Partners to be snake proofed.

We sent an email out about this, but it reached most of you too late to see it live. So if you missed it, see it here!

Want your dog to be snakeproofed? Training clinics are ongoing. Don't take a chance, the effects can be devastating.

TRAINING TIPS FROM THE PROS
Every dog needs the ability to rest calmly in a crate. To achieve this, the dog needs to be able to view the crate as a place to sleep.
A crate to a dog is a den, and not a place of punishment.
Keep him out of mischief as a  preventative measure. Don't wait until the dog has displeased you and then use the crate.
Feeding your dog in his crate will also help create a positive association.
If you use the crate strictly for the dog to rest and sleep, most will start going into it happily.
Dogs sleep about 14 hours a day. Rest and down time is just as important as training and play time, especially for puppies.
Puppy house training is an excellent time to condition your dog to be able to rest calmly in a crate.
This skill can save a dog's life many times over. If your pup grows into a typical adolescent dog with a destructive chewing stage that can last up to age two (even longer in some breeds), the early crate training will become a huge blessing.

How close is too close to a wild animal?
Leighton and Loni visit this amazing park north of Phoenix, and witness first hand the behavior of tigers, lions, bears and other animals.

But the highlight of the trip was the incredible session with a 5,000 pound rhino.

Leighton has worked with and around animals for 30 years, and this experience was, in his words, one of the most amazing in his life.
