Partners and Leighton with TARA HITCHCOCK on TV Tuesday April 7th at 7.15 AM
Last week, Channel 3 did a story on our snake proofing program. Leighton, Training Director with Partners, and Chad, Instructor with Partners, snake proofed Tara and Ken Hitchcock's dog while cameras rolled. We also did a test of the dog after snake proofing, to ensure he performed up to expectations. Watch the show, and let us know what you think. And of course, call us to snake proof your dog.

Channel 3 Photographer Gibby filming our rattlesnakes while Leighton Oosthuisen and Chad Hunter look on. The photographer was also able to film some really awesome closeups, which we hope will be shown on TV. (Read more about the story here) |
Chad handling Kenn & Tara's dog
This is Sara Hitchcock and Kenn Francis' dog undergoing snake avoidance training at Partners. Leighton was running the remote, while Chad handled the dog. After the training was complete, Ken walked their dog through the desert to test how he reacted to snakes hidden in the brush. He did great, and alerted about 6 feet away.

Rattlesnake bites are serious
Sometimes I hear people commenting that rattlesnake bites are not deadly. Truth is only a few people die every year, but thousands are bitten. And this is what it looks like after surgery. Read the story of Justin, a kid in the wrong place. And remember, a trained dog can alert your family to danger.
