Pathway to Excellence Designation Awarded to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Stephenville
Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Stephenville has achieved Pathway to Excellence® designation from the American Nurses Credentialling Center (ANCC). Texas Health Stephenville is one of only 75 hospitals in the U.S. to earn the designation, which is granted to health care organizations that create a work environment that supports nurses. To achieve the Pathway to Excellence designation, hospitals must foster an environment where nurses can excel in their practice. Efforts to improve the quality of care provided to patients also are reviewed, as are the hospital's policies, procedures and culture. Nurses at the hospital completed a survey discussing their satisfaction with Texas Health Stephenville and identifying it as a best place to work. Texas Health Stephenville was one of the first hospitals to achieve the Texas Nurses Association's (TNA) Nurse-Friendly™ designation in 2005. The ANCC acquired the TNA program and broadened the designation to the national Pathway to Excellence program. Texas Health Stephenville completed a full re-designation process to earn its Pathway to Excellence recognition. |
