A recent Serendipity client requested a birthday cake for her husband in the shape of a
"Green Bay Packers Helmet on top of a 'Cheese Head'" .  Here is Jene's all-cake interpretation.

Jene Alie, Owner of Anything But Vanilla, can take any idea and turn it into a jaw-dropping cake!  The most common reaction: "That's cake?!?"  Her creations are always delicious and stunning.  Ask your Serendipity Service Consultant about adding a sculpted cake to your menu!

On Sunday, September 19, 2010, cyclists road on either 92, 62, 45, 32 or 16 mile loops.  Greeting all 750 cyclists and their guests at the finishline "Jamboree" with burgers, hotdogs, and veggie patties off the grill was Serendipity Catering!  We added some heart-healthy oatmeal cranberry cookies to the BBQ  menu for good measure.  It was a beautiful day with some very fun, and fit, cyclists.  Proceeds benefitted The Cardiac Care Fund.  See you all next year!

The #1 Response to the #1 Question's Answer

In response to my "What is a 'green event'?" article in the last newsletter, I received some great feedback. Thank you. A few wise readers asked, "So, what you are saying is that a "green event" is a "well planned event"?"  Yes!  Exactly.  A certified planner (like me) will ensure less waste from the start of the event to the very end, as well as integrate technology (often simple) to make your event the "greenest" it can be.

Since we are on the green subject, I joined a group of Green Professionals this week: Green Meeting Industry Council.  The group was inspiring to say the least, and Lindsay Smith (Waste Farmers' "Chief Everything Officer" and President of the Denver GMIC Chapter) is my hero for making sure her actions always back up her "eco-friendly" words.   ~Laura

Someone got flowers......

A few weeks ago a long-time client answered a prospect's request for a reference.  Here is what our client said about Serendipity Catering:

"I am glad to give you feedback regarding Serendipity.  We have been using them for different events for several years now, and as a whole, they are simply wonderful.  The food is incredible, and the one thing I love the most about it, is that it's always fresh.  They will definitely cater to your needs, no matter how big or small your event may be, or if you have a specific theme in mind, they will work with you to figure out what is best for you.

The service is just as great.  Their staff is professional, helpful, punctual and very friendly.  I have developed a great working relationship with them over the years and they are my caterer of choice.

We are a larger corporation (600 employees), and they have done events for our whole company, different teams (85-100), or even if I call and say I need box lunches or a breakfast for 8-10 folks, they never hesitate and always do a great job.

I really can't say enough about them.  I love the food, love the staff and guarantee if you use them, you will not be disappointed."

Wow.  As soon as we read this recommendation letter, we picked up the phone and asked for our florist (Plum Sage Flowers) to send the most beautiful blooms available, so we could in some way say "Thank you!". With clients like this, we know exactly why we are in the catering business -- we really think our clients are the best people and companies in the Denver area! We love surpassing expectations with the best tasting food and top-notch service.  We want to make our clients look good!  If you are planning a Holiday Party, Spring Wedding (or Winter), please give us a call to discuss how we can help you with your event.
