Travel Writing:Is it all it's cracked up to be? It was a rainy day and I was driving home through the McKenzie River Valley from a five-day road trip. The weather on this particular day was dreamy, sort of ephemeral, sprinkled with patches of sunshine amidst the rain. There I was in La La Land, thinking deep and important thoughts, when around a corner a rainbow appeared. I thought for a moment that I could actually catch it; it was so close.
