     The fall color change is at peak in higher elevations of the Eugene, Cascades & Coast region. Vine and big leaf maple are at their most vibrant, while paper birch, Oregon white oak and walnut trees are near peak.

  You've probably been there. If you've ever traveled along Oregon's Highway 126, you might've taken a short glance out the window at mile marker 50 and seen the thin strip of river flowing under your car. This is McKenzie Bridge. But there's nothing "thin" about this river, or this place. And you won't find it if you beeline it straight down the highway. A little jog to the south on Mill Creek Road and you'll find yourself on McKenzie River Drive, and in the rich, lush, hidden world known on the map as Rainbow. READ MORE
