The Deschutes
A River for all Reasons

Hike along it, bike along it, fish it, raft it, canoe and kayak it, swim in it, wakeboard on it,
or merely gaze at it while you dine. The Deschutes River, cutting like a knife through
the heart of Oregon, hosts recreationalists of all persuasions. In celebration
of this mighty river,
Oregon Lakes & Rivers is going to spend the entire month of May exploring the Deschutes and the myriad pursuits it accommodates. From its headwaters in Little Lava Lake to its confluence with the Columbia River in Biggs, Oregon, we're going to highlight all 252 miles of it.
