Un-Motorized UndertakingsWinter in Northeast Oregon

We're unplugging this week and taking our recreation un-motorized. That means you've got to work for it. The reward? Silence. That, and camaraderie, close interaction with the natural world, and a tremendous sense of accomplishment. On the agenda: We're traveling to northeast Oregon to go snowshoeing around Anthony Lakes, hut-to-hut back country skiing in the Eagle Cap Wilderness and - not so strenuous - enjoy a horse-drawn wagon ride to a wildlife viewing area.
