Winter wonder fun-seekers: if you've had too much TV, mall shopping, desk working, Face Booking, couch sitting or other indoor pursuits, I have a suggestion. Go dashing through the snow, drink cocoa and make a memory that will last beyond the wrapping paper of the season. Here are some ideas:

I was thinking about Christmas, and - if I could be anywhere - where would I be? Too easy: in Oregon, at a cabin in the woods, sheltered from the storm of daily life and holiday hubbub. Out my front door: the sublime pursuits of snowshoeing or Nordic skiing. Down the road: adrenaline rushes from snowmobiling and downhill skiing. At the end of the day: a fireplace and a good book. All around me: friends and family.
