 Four teenage girls, a three-bedroom cabin, two golden retrievers, and one bathroom. This is our weekend at Crescent Lake. It's really quiet here this time of year, the "shoulder" season of autumn. The summer hoards have gone home and winter recreationalists are waiting at home until the snow flies. In other words: it's perfect. Not too hot, not too cold, but juuust right - especially for a walk along the lake and a good book by the fireplace afterward. READ MORE

Crescent Lake and the Science of Cycling
 Good News for cyclists, as well as the folks in Southern Oregon, particularly in the Crescent Lake area: Adventure Cycling has added Crescent Lake to the very cool Sierra Cascades Cycling Route. Traveling the length of the country from the Canadian border at Sumas, Washington to the Mexican border at Tecate, this bike route roughly parallels the Pacifc Crest Trail.
