Uncorked in Eugene

The interesting thing about "The Valley" in Oregon is that it rains a lot there. That, combined with an undulating landscape, a long growing season, and a river running through it, has created the perfect Petri dish for pinot grapes. Willamette Valley grapes breed spectacular pinot noir, rivaling vintages from France and Italy. It's that good. Revelers can find 12 wineries within a 25-mile stretch from Eugene in any direction. Other sights along the way included romantic covered bridges, windmills, country lanes and historic towns. READ MORE
