The Umpqua River runs from the Cascade mountains to the Pacific Ocean. The source of this extensive river basin is Maidu Lake on the Cascade divide and the mouth of the river is Winchester Bay where it meets the mighty Pacific Ocean. The Scenic Byway, Highway 138, threads its way along side the North Umpqua River to the confluence of the North and the South Umpqua Rivers at Riverforks Park in Roseburg. READ MORE. |
