North Umpqua Trail - Hot Springs Segment

Hot Springs Trail

Cracking the Nut
The Dog Blog
: Hike,  Soak & Splash

The Hot Springs segment of the North Umpqua Trail (miles 47-54) winds past creeks and streams on the way to soaking pools with a view.
When the water is tame, summer and fall, Deer Creek is an excellent place for a doggy splash-a-bout. The hot springs is too hot for your dog, though, so if you're stopping for a quick soak, your pet will have to wait in the shade.

Or skip the soak and enjoy the upcoming springs, meadows and waterfalls on the trail.
