Road Trip: Marion Forks
Marion Forks Restaurant
I was rolling down Highway 126 one evening, hungry and headed for Eugene, when I saw the neon OPEN sign at Marion Forks Restaurant. Now this was a compelling thing, as I had passed by this place many times and it always seemed to be closed.
Now, I love to check out roadside mom-and-pop spots - those small bastions of refuge and respite in between nowhere and hell-and-gone. Read More.

Featured Recipe: Grilled Rib-eye Steaks
Rib eye

We found this amazing recipe for grilled rib-eye from Oregon chef Stu Stein of the Peerless Restaurant in Ashland.
Though a bit complex for camping, it can certainly knock off your guests' socks, or pare down the roasted veggies and it's a snap.
