What every parent should know about backpacks.
A skinny 10-year-old boy, all 75 pounds of him, lurches lopsidedly down the street, a 30-pound backpack over one shoulder. A small girl bends to tie her shoe; her bulging backpack overwhelms her balance, and down she goes. What kids are carrying to school these days can add up to a percentage of body weight-20, 30, even 40 percent-that would stagger an adult. Schools are hearing from concerned parents. We see childhood backpain on the rise - prevent it by using a backpack - I found a backpack to help reduce those problems and position the backpack correctly on the body. And - are appropriatly sized for children of all ages. |

Stretching for Health
My wife, I and the kids like to make stretching at night a rountine before bed. It is great to calm everyone down and ease out any pain we have accumulated throughout the day.
Try this:
Starting Position: Sit on a stool with your back flat against a wall. Action: Lift your arms overhead, keeping your head and back flat against the wall. Hold for 5 seconds. See if your shoulders can touch the wall while keeping your back flat, Hold for 5 seconds. Lower your hands to the starting position. Do Not Cause Pain.
