Let's Have a Fun, Successful 2011-2012 Rotary Year!
Greetings!

It is a huge honor to serve as president of THE Rotary Club of Naples, the home of Rotary International Director John Smarge, for our club's 60th anniversary year!  Thank you so much for your support and trust.  Let's have a fun, successful year ahead!

Rich Ahrens has invested many hours, including time during his recent vacation to Ireland, to reprogram the eBulletin template and club website.  Thanks, Rich!

Reading the eBulletin each week is the best way to stay up-to-date on our club's current events. You will find that the eBulletin works hand-in-hand with the club website. They are both organized by the "five avenues of service": Club Service, Community Service, International Service, New Generations Service and Vocational Service.  (In fact, the operations of our entire club and foundation are organized this way, too.)

The eBulletin gives you brief updates on particular topics. If you want more detailed information, click on the hyperlinks in the eBulletin to go to that section of our club's website.

The key to a successful eBulletin and website is having accurate content on a timely basis.  We need your help! If you have an announcement, please email it to our eBulletin editor, Rich Ahrens, no later than Sunday night of the week of publication.

I look forward to working with everyone over the coming year!

Yours in Rotary Service,

Frank Fontana
President, 2011-2012

This Week's Meeting

Topic:           Club Assembly

Speaker:       Board Members

Organization: The Rotary Club of Naples

  • Our club is extremely dynamic and we have many wonderful projects and programs in place. This meeting will inform our members about what is happening in the club and where we expect to head in the coming Rotary year.

Meetings

  • The Naples Beach Hotel is going to start construction on parts of the hotel immediately outside of our normal meeting room, the Sunset Terrace.  We will likely continue to meet in the Sunset Terrace, but our normal entrance may be closed.  The hotel has advised us that we may need to use the side door by the grassy area as our main entrance.  They noted that it will probably be best to walk through the main lobby of the hotel in order to get to our room (rather than get to our room from the swimming pool area).  This may be the situation throughout the summer.  We will keep you posted in the e-bulletin as we learn more.

Membership

  • Interested in proposing a new member?  Complete the new member application and give it to Ryan Blauch, membership chair.
