Spring Forecast Reading
March 20, 2009 to June 21, 2009
Danburite is a storm element ally. This spring we'll be working on soul and mundane issues simultaneously. This ally appears when we have a karmic task to understand the power of our spirits. We will be healing physical, emotional, empowerment, spiritual, and evolutionary imbalances. On the collective level, this storm element stone heals by bringing the other four elements together. Its connection to the earth element helps us to ground and lessen survival fears. The water element allows us to separate our feelings from others'. It also helps us to separate true love from the illusion of love. The fire element transforms beliefs about success. The wind element allows us to make decisions based on higher guidance. Storm element stones also give understanding of the impact of the past and future. Karmic issues that have interfered with our timing or destiny are being released. Danburite allows us to see the unseen. It connects us to spirit helpers and activates our clairvoyant sight. This is an important lesson during this quarter of the sun's yearly passage. We're releasing mass consciousness programming by trusting these high frequency energies. We're continually being challenged to recognize that the spirits we see and sense around us are real and acting for our benefit. Danburite gives us the discernment to recognize the highest and most helpful energies that are available to us. On the individual level, it is easier to see everything in your life as reflection of yourself with Danburite. Naisha Ahsian, creator of the Crystal Ally Cards, says that when you draw Danburite, the current situation is essential for your spiritual growth. As much as possible, let your light shine. You may feel guided to explore your energy field. It connects with every aspect of your life. It also reaches into the past and the future and can access all knowledge. It will help you to release mass consciousness beliefs. These beliefs are often a substitute for connection with the Akashic Records. This is a good time to focus on spiritual practices that activate your aura or energy body. Exercises that allow you to see or sense helpful spirits will accelerate this process.
Gift: Selenite/Higher Self Selenite is a wind element ally. This means it governs our connection to the spirit world. It also brings greater mental clarity and detachment. Selenite allows you to create a life where you can have more of that magical ability to live as your higher self. The higher self is the part of us that is always connected to source. It lives in a state of constant bliss. Selenite is allowing you to integrate more of your higher self into your physical body and life. While Danburite is challenging you to apply your spiritual awareness to every area of your life, Selenite enhances your gifts of insight and vision. This is a reward for the evolutionary transformation you have been making with Danburite. Selenite allows easy integration between your conscious mind and higher mind. This means it is very easy to see the underlying meaning and symbolism in different life situations. Selenite also grants insight into physical illness and business situations. Global meditations and visualizations will be more powerful during this quarter. People may experience telepathic communication, especially with those they are close to. There's a greater ability to heal, envision the future, and create new belief systems that we will trust and rely upon.

| Storm Element Allies and Soul Issues
Crystal Ally Cards are divided into five elements. One of these is the storm element. This element is used for soul evolution and growth. It is sometimes known as the fifth element, because it combines the other four. The Storm Element Allies are: Turquoise, Herderite, Moldavite, Chlorite, Clear Quartz, Kyanite, Danburite, Azeztulite, Fulgurite, and Phenacite. Each of these stones clear the different energy bodies and connect them to the physical body. Many of them are known as master healers. In this way, spirit, mind, emotions, and body communicate in a more unified and harmonious way. These stones affect all the chakras, including those that exist outside of the body. The out-of-body chakras are being activated by energies that are coming into the planet at this time. They create soul wisdom, greater intuitive abilities, manifestation abilities, and communication with the natural world. This is a time when soul evolution is important. Spiritual, natural, and social forces are encouraging and pushing us all to evolve. And within this, the soul can choose an issue to work on at a particular time. When you're working on soul and personality level issues simultaneously, it becomes easier for your higher self to communicate with the rest of you. The more a person understands the process, the easier it is to shift. Part of our spirit is the higher self that always exists in connection with the divine. Some people also believe in another part of the spirit called the soul. This spirit carries wounds and gifts from lifetime to lifetime. It has a different set of priorities than the personality. The personality feels the needs of the body and the emotions. For example, it loves other people and wants to form close relationships with them. The soul cares about these things, but in a completely different way. The soul sees life from a much broader perspective than the personality. A soul might need healing about whether or not it wants to be incarnated. It may experience trauma in multiple lifetimes about this issue, including frustration with the sluggish nature of physical reality. It takes longer to communicate and manifest in this physical reality than it does in the spirit world. This can combine with personality issues concerning healthy boundaries. This combination can even create chronic health problems. Other types of soul issues include: the soul's relationship to the divine, the conflict between individual destiny and that of the group, confusion about which lifetime it is experiencing, and bringing new gifts or ways of doing things into the world. Because of this internal conflict, the soul and personality are both experiencing frustration. An individual might interpret this as despair or a feeling of being stuck. Storm Element Allies allow the soul and personality to release these blocks. They also allow past and future life gifts to be integrated into the present experience. When you choose one of these cards or stones, you're inviting transformation and breakthroughs into your life.

Solar Meditation and Divination The Mayan and Andean traditions have called to me because of their connection to the sun as a divine being. There are many ways to connect to the sun in meditation or for divination. The yoga form, called "Salutation to the Sun", is a famous form of solar meditation. It helps people to attune to the morning sun. Solar meditation is a wonderful way to harmonize with the sun's energies.
The Mayan elder, Hunbatz Men, teaches solar meditation. A simple form of this is to chant the Mayan word K'in (pronounced "keen") seven times, once for the earth, once for the sun, once for the stars. Then you look for one second at the first shaft of light that comes across the horizon. It is especially powerful to learn this at the time of the spring equinox.
It is important to practice solar meditation before divination. Solar divination is also easier to do on the morning of an equinox or solstice. In fact, it is part of the Solar Wave Ceremony. If you perform this ceremony outdoors, it is especially powerful. You can ask Father Sun, as his child, for a piece of his wisdom. He will give you a message. Sometimes it may take the form of a feeling or intuitive guidance. Often, this will blend with signs and messages from the natural world. An Andean practice is to face the east at sunrise. It is helpful to be near your altar, medicine bundle, or sacred objects. Allow the sun to give you a vision of who you are becoming. You may wish to open your arms wide above your head. Bring this energy into your body by placing one hand over your stomach and the other over your heart. The writer Aluna Joy Yaxk'in has a simple practice of solar divination. Anytime she has a question or concern, she simply asks the sun. There is a lot of information in solar energy. There are other types of solar divination, such as shamanic journeys. I hope to explore this topic in another article. |
| Flower Divination
There are many beautiful forms of flower divination. Almost every culture seems to have their own flower oracle. These can be very simple, like the daisy divination of "he loves me, he loves me not". Or they can be complex, like Tamil flower divination, where multi-colored bouquets are thrown at the feet of a god's statue. The diviner hopes for a red or white flower to be facing upward. In our culture, we tend to use flowers in three different ways for divination. The simplest technique is flower psychometry. Cut blossoms are handled by the person asking the question. The flower reader holds the blossom and feels the energy of the client, along with a message. Richard Webster describes a flower psychometry reading that he witnessed in his book, "Flower and Tree Magic." He claims that flowers hold a person's vibration more easily than objects. The next approach involves either choosing cut flowers or flower divination cards. The message of the flower relates to its symbolism. Many flower readers use the Victorian language of flowers as the basis of their interpretations. The third type of flower divination, involves direct communication with the deva or spirit of the flower. This is a type of plant spirit medicine. In our culture, it is most commonly used by people who make flower essences. My favorite form of flower divination can use any of these approaches. I like to look for a meadow of wildflowers or a beautiful garden, blooming with different colored blossoms. It is best if there are several different colors of flowers , plus the green of the grass or leaves. I take a few moments to center myself and attune to the plant kingdom. Any kind of meditation will do. I ask my question and let my eyes be drawn to the first flower color that catches my eye. Usually, the flower indicates what you need. Interpreting the message: Many flower readers use color symbolism that is similar to the Hindu chakra system. Even the Victorian language of flowers seems to have a connection to this system. Red flowers tend to symbolize passion and true love. White flowers tend to symbolize purity. A white chrysanthemum represents truth, a white zinnia is purity, a white rose means innocence. Yellow flowers like daffodils can either stand for hope and vitality or pride and unrequited love.
Even some wildflowers and wild plants are included in the language of flowers:
Dandelion symbolizes flirtatiousness, fulfillment of wishes, White Clover symbolizes luck, connection with fairies, remembrance Fern symbolizes sincerity and confidence Oak leaves symbolize strength and protection. However, with wildflowers and plants, it is best to create your own meaning. I use color, shape, and habitat symbolism. I use the following color symbolism, based on Richard Webster, Cyndi Dale, and others: Red -passion, life force, confidence and independence, courage, motivation, love of life Orange -joy, emotional closeness and comfort, warmth, social Yellow - beliefs, success, pride, quick thinking Green -harmony, healing, balance, optimism, tolerance, stability of emotion Blue -intelligence, honesty, stability, faith in one's self Purple -generosity, vision, good self-image, transformation, stress, intuition White - Purity, clarity, spiritual destiny, freedom, hope Indigo - inner peace Many flower readers use the shape of the flower to indicate what the questioner lacks. A large blossom may indicate a need to expand your energy or confidence. Also, a plant that grows in the shadow of other plants, indicates a different meaning than one that needs a lot of direct sunlight. If you pick up vibrations easily through your hands, you may also wish to touch the flower or hold a quartz crystal to the blossom for a few minutes. Then spend a few minutes meditating with the crystal. The stone will carry the vibration of the flower and help to communicate its message to you. You might also want to spend a few moments connecting with the spirit of the flower. A simple way to do this is to meditate with your eyes open, gazing softly at the blossom. You may even see or dream about one of the flower fairies.

Star Allies: Alpha Centauri
In the Winter Solstice News, we began a journey through the Star Allies. These are a group of stars, constellations, and galaxies that have special meaning for people all over the world. I have been using them in divinations to explore evolutionary issues. They are organized from the southern to the northern hemisphere. We began with the constellation, Southern Cross. This is an ally that helps with soul retrieval. The next step in this process is represented by the star Alpha Centauri. Alpha and Beta Centauri are a pair of stars located near the Southern Cross. In Peru, they are called the "Eyes of the Llama". A dark cloud of gas forms the shape of a llama when it is silhouetted against the Milky Way. These two stars are located where the eyes would be.
The llama is associated with love and service. In Andean mythology, the llama constellation journeys to the oceans and back to bring rain. It also protects and communicates with the llama and alpaca herds. The stars represent renewal and abundance. All of the Star Allies are karmic cards. When you meditate on or choose one of these cards, you are working with an issue that is part of your everyday life and also exists outside of time. Divinatory meaning
On the spiritual level, Alpha Centauri represents transmutation. Kundalini energies are moving when you choose this Ally. All the chakras are being harmonized.
As you move from the base chakra to the higher chakras, suffering and pain is transformed into joy. There is a feeling of spiritual service, belonging and security. There is a great harmony between the ability to give to others and maintain your boundaries.
On the physical level, this ally helps with hormonal problems.
