Enjoy the Land. Get Dirty. Make a Difference. Volunteer Work Day at FRLT's Maddalena Property in Sierra Valley
 | This is Gabe. He's the Stewardship Guy. Volunteers make him happy. Yes, you're right. This picture is in American Valley, but you get the idea.
| FRLT's Maddalena Property offers spectacular 360-degree views of the mountains surrounding Sierra Valley and some of the richest bird-watching in the region. It has become a successful demonstration of managing land for sustainable agriculture, wetland and wildlife protection, and recreation.
Taking care of this special place is a big job. We need your help!
Friday, September 7, 9:30am - 3:30pm
What we'll do:
- Stain and protect the cedar fence in the meadow area
- Gather up debris scattered about the wetlands - barbed wire, fence posts, and the like.
- Stack wood debris for burning later in the winter.
- Take in the sights and sounds while we're at it.
What to bring: - Your LUNCH
- Plenty of water & sunscreen
- Eye protection/sunglasses
- Sturdy boots
- Gloves, hats, long sleeves and rugged clothing for getting down and dirty
- Wire cutters if you have them.
Meet at the corral on A-24. Directions here.
