Because of the generous support and goodwill of members and friends like you, we are conserving some of the most important lands and waters in the Feather River region.

Here's just a snap shot of what we accomplished together this past year:
  • Protected the Pearce Family Ranch - Plumas County's oldest working ranch
  • Paid off the historic Heart K Ranch, conserving this special place forever
  • Secured funds to purchase the Leonhardt Learning Landscape, an outdoor classroom for Quincy's schoolchildren
  • Installed trails, seating areas, and signage on outdoor classrooms for schools across the watershed, making it easier for teachers to bring students outside to learn from the land
  • Hosted a field workshop for teachers to learn restoration techniques, and then supported them to implement hands-on restoration and stewardship projects with their students
With your help, we are conserving meadows, wetlands and waterways that provide clean water to 65% of Californians, protecting critical wildlife and bird habitat, protecting family ranches, and cultivating a culture of wonder and stewardship among schoolchildren.

From all of the staff and board at the Feather River Land Trust, "Thank you!"

Wishing you a happy, healthy, and sustainably prosperous 2012!

Paul and the crew at Feather River Land Trust

P.S. Watch for FRLT's 2010-2011 Annual Report in your snail mailbox in the coming weeks and enjoy looking back on all that we've accomplished together!
