Today is a very special day at the Feather River Land Trust. Thanks to you, today we celebrate 10 years of protecting the places that make the Feather River region special. I still remember the day ten years ago, when, with my parents and wife Rhonda, I filed papers with the Secretary of State, and the Feather River Land Trust was born. It was my mother Becky's birthday that day, so we all went out for a special dinner to celebrate two wonderful births. Little did I know that day what, together with you, we would accomplish!
In just ten years, you have helped us protect over 30,000 acres of land so that we and our children's children can experience and enjoy a lasting relationship with this magnificent place.
And that's what it's about - relationship. Our relationship with you, our community of dedicated members, is the lifeblood of our success. Thank you! We truly couldn't do this without you. And with your help, we will continue conserving the most strategically important properties in this beloved region, and will add an additional 30,000 acres of protected land to our collective legacy in the next ten years!
And so I wish you a very Happy Anniversary! We have much to celebrate!
