Practitioners have been asking for a CD on Golden Flower Meditation (GFM). It's in the works...along with 57 other projects of vital interest. The first step, however, was to get a website up, and that's done.
Voila Golden Flower Meditation, a site dedicated to raising permanent - as opposed to - temporary Kundalini. What's the difference? First, some background.
Ramakrishna once said, "A man's spiritual consciousness is not awakened unless his Kundalini is aroused." Kundalini is
the vehicle for superior health and greater consciousness; it is the
ultimate principle of spiritual development. This has been known for
centuries. The challenge has always been to find a safe method for
permanently activating Kundalini. Up to now there hasn't been one. Gopi
Krishna recognized this when he declared that we have yet to discover,
"...the safest methods for awakening Kundalini."
Permanent Kundalini is usually the result of a method. Once Kundalini is permanently aroused, it floods the body with vital life force energy - all day, every day. Among its various benefits, permanent Kundalini triggers autonomic self-healing mechanisms that, according to Gopi Krishna, "upgrade the individual's body and endow his being with highest consciousness."

The Spirit Flies Free: The Kundalini Poems

THE POLITICAL IMPLICATIONS OF HIGHER CONSCIOUSNESS
How Kundalini affects everyday life - Part 1
When I began my spiritual transformation in the late 60s, I was told, "the inner trip was the only trip," a statement that implied casting a vote in an election or discussing politics would actually retard my spiritual development. "The only way to make progress," my counselors told me, "is to raise your own consciousness. In that way, you will raise the consciousness of those around you, and eventually, when enough people do the work, we will raise the consciousness of the entire world. Remember, you can't do anything for anyone else; all you can do is improve your own being."
For a while, I fancied myself a spiritual guerrilla silently working my mojo on an unsuspecting middle class who went to work, got drunk, had babies, and retired to Florida. One way or another I was determined to work "the spiritual trip is the only trip" message into my everyday conversations so that, one by one, every person I met would intuit the wisdom of this pronouncement and, by the geometric logic of a pyramid scheme, pass it on until the entire world experienced a mass shift toward higher consciousness.
And then I saw 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Walking out of the theater I had something no one else in my group of friends had. I knew what the Black Monolith meant. I was certain that it signified a dramatic shift in consciousness, a symbol for the first instance of self-awareness, a parable defining the discovery, the use, and the development of tools. Self recognizing other for the first time. Man, suddenly waking up from a dog-like sleep. Man, in effect, becoming modern man. The moment homo added sapiens to his pedigree. And if you think about it, the modern space shuttle is but a mere extension of the bone picked up by the primitive tribesman in Kubrick's film. In fact, there was a greater lapse of time between the origin of man and the discovery that first tool than the lapse of time between the discovery of that primitive weapon and the atomic bomb.
In the intervening thousands of years since that primordial moment - the hand reaching down to grab the bone at the same instant the grabber realizes its deadly purpose - there has not been another existential leap of consciousness of the same magnitude. No monolith. No moment of greater self-awareness spreading like wildfire through the entire race. Sure, technology has moved ahead at a rapid pace, but outside of the development of the prefrontal cortex (the region of the brain devoted to higher cognitive functions), the development of other lobes of the brain has been minimal. It's often said that man's decisions are still governed by his animal brain - emotions and feelings overruling rational centers. (to be continued)
