A New Year - New Challenges
2012 is here; the holidays are over and the last college football bowl game has finally been played. I hope that everyone had a great end to 2011.
Now what? It's back to work full time with no excuses. Sure there will be outside noise and distractions that we can't control; there always are. (Click here for my Top Ten 2012 Predictions.) But we can, however, control how we build and run our businesses.
For many, it's about the balance between growing the business on one hand and providing good client service on the other. Luckily, these choices are not mutually exclusive.
Finding a balance between your time, energy and focus may be easier than you think. This quarter's White Paper, entitled "2012 Success - It's Easy As 1-2-3," highlights three basic concepts that underlie successful businesses - Differentiate, Segregate and Communicate. (See below for details.)
Have a great quarter and feel free to give me a shout if you need come help!

2012 Success - It's As Easy As 1-2-3
It's a new year, and while some people make New Year's resolutions and others don't, almost everyone starts out with a fresh and positive attitude.
As you contemplate how you're going to reach and hopefully exceed your 2012 business goals, consider using the following outline as a way to quickly and efficiently place yourself on the path to success - it's as easy as 1-2-3:
- Differentiate yourself from the competition
- Segregate your clients and prospects into niche market segments
- Communicate consistently and effectively
Practitioners and businesses that follow a strategy that incorporates these principles will position themselves for success vis-à-vis their competition. However, it's important to point out that including these principles in your business is not enough - you must successfully implement them as well.
Let's look at why these three points are important and delve into some ideas on how to actually implement them.
