Director's Spotlight: Charles (Chas) Hoyman
 

Since 1984 Charles (Chas) Hoyman, Jr., has been the Managing Director of Hoyman Dobson CPA's. In his role, Chas manages all business and strategic aspects of the firm as well as personally services many of Hoyman Dobson's clients. An accomplished Certified Public Accountant, Chas brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the firm. Mr. Hoyman participated in audits of more than 60 for-profit, governmental and nonprofit agencies. He is also highly skilled in tax planning, compliance and review of corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns. Chas' tenacity, leadership and dedication to excellence resulted in over 30 years of consistent growth for the firm.

 

An Eau Gallie High School graduate, Mr. Hoyman earned his bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting from the University of South Florida. A big believer in giving back to the local community, Chas has actively encouraged the firm's employees to volunteer in local charitable organizations, get involved in different mentoring programs, and be compassionate about each other. Throughout the years, Chas has led by example, volunteering his time and knowledge to the United Way of Brevard (2010 Campaign Chairman), Circles of Care (past Chairman and Board Member), Space Coast Tiger Club, Economic Development Commission of Space Coast (past Board Director and volunteer of the year), and recently served on The Florida Bar Grievance Committee 18 C. Chas' values, compassion and integrity have won him the admiration of his peers and employees within the firm as well as the local business community.

 

Chas is an active member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA). In addition, Mr. Hoyman is one of the founding members of CPAmerica (past Chairman and Board Director). In 2008 Chas was elected to the Board of Directors of CPA Mutual Insurance Company of America RRG.

 

Chas enjoys running, cycling and photography. Passionate about placing family and friends first, throughout his career at Hoyman Dobson, Mr. Hoyman has encouraged his peers and employees to achieve a healthy work-life balance and always be there for their families and friends. Chas is married to Yvonne Hoyman and is the proud father of three accomplished children.
