The first-time home buyer tax credit has gone through a few alterations, starting at $7,500, which had to be repaid by the homeowner, and increasing to $8,000, which did not. Originally set to expire at the end of November, the credit has now been extended until June 2010 and has been expanded to include a new $6,500 credit for homeowners who have lived in their homes for at least five years.

Hoyman Dobson team members receive Advanced Quickbooks Certification 
 
Judy Durette and Diana Craig, QuickBooks ProAdvisors with Hoyman Dobson CPA's, recently obtained the QuickBooks Advanced Certification designation. This course is designed to deepen the expertise of ProAdvisors who are already knowledgeable in QuickBooks and distinguish the QuickBooks experts as highly proficient in this field.

"In order to obtain the Advanced Certification, Diana and Judy have completed QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certification Courses for 2009, 2008, and 2007, passed the QuickBooks Advanced Certification exam and maintain requisite QuickBooks continuing education" explains Karen Kirkland, Hoyman Dobson Tax and Accounting Services Director. "The knowledge acquired during the certification process will enable our team to provide clients with enhanced QuickBooks services.  We are very proud of their accomplishment" continues Ms. Kirkland.
