The right accident and health policy can help your clients avoid thousands of dollars in expenses. 

 

Not all benefits professionals have affinity clients in their block of business, but many do have clients with high deductible health plans. One way AmWINS Group Benefits is assisting brokers in better serving their clients is by layering an accident program with critical illness to "fill the gaps" in coverage associated with a high deductible plan. Drug Subsidy

 

Sam Fleet's recent article shows how brokers have a great opportunity to help their clients with EGWPs.

 

Employer Group Waiver Plans (EGWPs, often pronounced "Egg Whips") are becoming increasingly important as federal legislation impacts the value of the Retiree Drug Subsidy option. Retiree drug options give brokers the opportunity to ride to the rescue of their clients by helping them transition to an EGWP rather than accepting the retiree drug subsidy, which has changed considerably with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
