A BIG thank you from the young adults supported by HOPE!
|
December was a busy month for the HOPE team and supporters and we cannot thank you enough for the fantastic fundraising efforts achieved by al!! We raised a whopping great big £2,110, for the Angkor bike ride and the actual race day was fabulous, full of positive energy and high spirits. We and all the young adults had so much fun.
Trustee Tanya joined in the bike ride fun whilst on her self funded annual trip back to Cambodia and if you want to find out more about what she was up to you can read more here.
Bike riders were not exclusive to the temples and we were joined by a team from Jervis Bay in Sydney, the Great Ocean Road Melbourne and Mads on board FPSO Ningaloo Vision offshore Western Australia. Whilst Tone Mari and her sister Kjersti managed to raise a fantastic £2,750 in Norway with the help of their local gym.
Thanks to all those who gave their time, effort and sweat to help us.
Back in England Katy was selling Silk Lab products for unusual Christmas stocking fillers raising more funds for HOPE, thanks Katy.
Thanks to everyone's joint efforts we can start 2011 with a bang and continue to support the three young adult programmes we have selected to work with - Sangkheum Center for Children, Anjali House and Salariin Kampuchea.
