Vidacare Corporation has agreed to a Strategic Support Investment of the Emergency Medicine Foundation (EMF) to support the continuing research and education initiatives that EMF provides to improve patient care and the practice of emergency medicine. Methodist Healthcare Ministries (MHM)- the largest faith-based, not-for-profit, private funding source for community healthcare services to low-income families and the uninsured in South Texas, along with other health advocacy groups including but not limited to the Center for Public Policy Priorities, Texans Care for Children and Texas Impact are demanding state leaders include children's health insurance in the budget. |

The National Kidney Foundation will offer a multi-disciplinary professional education program for the kidney health care community on April 22-23 at the Norris Conference Center in San Antonio. The 2010 Spring Symposium presents continuing education opportunities for physicians, physician assistants, transplant coordinators, nurses, nurse practitioners, case managers, renal and clinical dietitians, social workers and technicians.
