Australia Court Issues Temporary Injunction Prohibiting Smith & Nephew from Selling Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Foam Dressing Kit

(NYSE: KCI) announced today that The Federal Court of Australia, Victoria District Registry, issued a temporary injunction prohibiting Smith & Nephew (LSE: SN; NYSE: SNN) from selling foam dressing kits for negative pressure wound therapy in Australia until the court can rule on the patent infringement action brought against Smith & Nephew by KCI. Methodist Hospital raised the bar in hospital-based stroke care today by announcing it earned not one but two very distinctive certifications. The hospital earned the American Stroke Association's Get With the Guidelines  - Stroke Bronze Performance Achievement Award and the Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission for Primary Stroke Centers.
