San Antonio Health Initiative in Line with Stimulus and Health Reform Targets |
Health Access San Antonio (HASA), San Antonio, TX - March 24, 2009
Healthcare Access San Antonio (HASA), a collaborative health initiative spearheaded by all major health care providers in San Antonio, has been working on realizing these efforts since 2006 by implementing technology tools to expand the access to care for people without insurance. HASA membership consists of the Baptist Health System, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa, Communicare, CentroMed, Daughters of Charity Services of San Antonio, Methodist Healthcare Ministries, Methodist Healthcare System, University Health System, and San Antonio Metropolitan Health Department. HHS Makes $268 Million in Recovery Act Funding Available to Support Hospitals |
U.S. Department of Health & Human Services - March 24, 2009
Building on President Barack Obama's efforts to ensure access to health care for millions of uninsured Americans, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services today announced that states can access an additional $268 million authorized by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to help pay hospitals to treat their most vulnerable patients.
